who else has a baby 4-5 months tha isn't sttn? Lo still wakes up 2-3 times a night. He alse is ready to go by 5:30 am. When will it stop? I just want to sleep! sex isn't even a priority anymore. lol sleep is!
My LO isn't 4 months yet, but she hasn't slept through the night either. Nor has she come close. In fact I think we have the 4 month wakeful thing going on right now because she is waking up more than ever before. I consider it a wonderful night if she only wakes up twice. I really feel for you with the 5:30 morning though, my little one is usually up around 7, but there are still occasional days she sleeps until nine I wouldn't be able to function at 5 30! Hopefully your LO will start to sleep more soon!
J goes down for 4-4.5 hours, then is up every 2 for the rest of the night... last night the first stretch was from 6pm-10:30... and this morning he dropped a nap. I am sleepier than usual (which is why I am sitting here instead of putting away laundry while he naps.)
Mine still wakes every 3 hours but he's been teething for about a millennium now so that could be part of it. I imagine his teeth will pop through just in time for us to start the 6-month growth spurt.
I'll make you feel waaay better. My 1 year old just started STTN 2 weeks ago. Party on :-p
5 months ago this would have depressed me. Now I have hope that DS will STTN before kindergarten, so thank you.
To make you feel better in all seriousness, we couldn't really sleep train because we live in an apartment and didn't feel right having him scream in the middle of the night. A few weeks ago he decided to wake up for his "middle of the night" wake up around 10 and I said screw it -he's going to cry and at 10pm those people will have to suck it up. It happened the same way the next night and since then we've been pretty much golden

That is also partially why we haven't done too much sleep training for night wakings. I don't mind letting him cry at 10 or 11 because our neighbors are night owls (and in the summer they're usually outside until midnight) but it's the wakings at 2-3 a.m. that I feel bad about (plus I just don't have the patience to listen to him cry then).
Thank God i'm not the only one! My friends ar like "he isn't stnt? Lo has been since 8 weeks" boo on them! I think there should be a program like a mom co op where somebody else takes care of your baby for a night. Can you imagine a whole nights sleep? of course i prob wouldn't sleep out of worry.
Re: Make me feel better
Abigail usually goes to sleep at 9:30 or 10pm. Then she wakes up around 12. Then she'll sleep to 5. Then until 8:30 or 9...
She's 4 and a half months....
But she's been extremely restless at night lately. Neither of us gets and sleep lately.
