Cleaning bathroom tile

We are re grouting the shower and we want to give it a really good cleaning.

I am new at this but want to use eco friendly products. Would this  be a perfect time to wash it with vinegar and baking soda or is there another combo you recommend?

Thanks ladies!

Re: Cleaning bathroom tile

  • i like to mix some salt in with the baking soda, to give it more scrubbing power. and then i wet the tile, either with just water, or with a cleanser, to help it stick to the grout. and, of course, a heavy duty scrubber sponge/tool of some sort.

  • Interesting idea on the salt - I may have to try it.  We generally just use baking soda & vinegar, and a fair amount of elbow grease!  I have to work a bit harder than the ol' scrubbing bubbles days, but the first time I cleaned our shower this way, it was the cleanest I'd ever seen it, so well worth the extra work.

  • I agree on the baking soda, salt, & vinegar combo :-)

  • Should I let it sit for a while or do you just throw it on and scrub a dub dub?
