I swear he is gonna make me be the bad cop with this kid. He likes to rough house which is fine because the kid loves it but I always have to tell him to be careful because Jax is still fragile or don't let him do this or that or we will have to correct it later. We have to teach him not to play with the outlets now or not to reach into the dishwasher, etc... My husband's response is that I'm way to overprotective. I don't want to be the bad cop. :-(

Yes, but that's because I actually might be. DS will have a rash or something and I'll be freaking out calling the dr and DH is like "he'll get over it/grow out of it." And the next day DS is fine. But I swear the kid could have Ebola virus and DH would be like "it's just a sniffle." However, I've recently realized that some of my anxiety issues might be making me nuttier than I should be--N is 7 months old and doing great but I still feel the 'newborn paranoia' in the back of my mind all the time.
I think most guys tend to be more laid back than us, especially if you're the one spending more time with the baby and really know what is/is not normal.
He's growing up, but he'll always be my baby!

...big brother to...???? Due March 2014!
Role reversal here. DH is always worried and I'm the calm one. He worries about things like G going in the lake and such, though, and whether or not we need to go to the Dr. with a fever. He will sit with G while he's having his dinner and only give him one puff at a time.
I'm a little more laid back and let him feed himself, but I watch to make sure he doesn't get too many.
Outlets and dishwashers would be a no brainer for both of us.
