Help me plan a wallet friendly vacay...

Hey everyone! We are looking to book a vacation for our large family. It would be my hubby, myself, and a total of 4 children (ages 8 months to 8 years) We were looking at Disney (holy cow they are expensive) then was thinking of Universal Studios. Regardless of where we go we really want to take the kids to Midevil Times. Any tips for budget friendly planning? Can't afford some of the packages prices listed at around 3k. Thanks :)

    What about Knott's Berry Farm?  It's right across from Midevil Times.  They're not super cheap, but I think they're cheaper than Disney and have some package deals.
