WWYD re Shower

My Aunt and MIL want to throw a Shower/Sprinkle for DD #2.  I agreed, and they started planning, but now looking at my guest list (which was pretty small to begin with), it looks like there will only be about 7 people there (including the 4 people throwing it).  I want to just tell them to forget about it, but I don't want to be rude.

    Since they already started planning it I would probably let them go through with it. I may check in and ask how its going... if they give you a window to bail or make it more of a lunch type thing then I would bring it up then.

    Size of the invite list wouldn't matter to me!  Hopefully it will make it easier/more low-key for the planners!!  How sweet of them to plan something!

    How about moving it to a restaurant?  It would be easier on them, but you would still get together to celebrate DD#2.

    Like pp, I would go with it. I like the suggestion of moving it to a restaurant? It would be more intimate and the hostesses can do less planning. I think it is so nice of them to do this for you!

    I like the idea of moving it.  I think it's so sweet of them to plan it.  I'd just hate for them to spend a bunch of time planning it if there aren't going to be many people there.

    I'll suggest the restaurant idea to my aunt and see what she says :)

    Since it's already being planned I say just go with it.  They are probaby really excited to throw you a shower, and you deserve to get a little sprinkle to welcome this baby.

    Since the planning process has already started, I would keep going.  A small shower doesn't mean a bad shower.
