Playtex dropins ... on glass bottles?

Hi everyone,

After a 4 month struggle, my little one latched on successfully to a Playtex Drop-in bottle nipple. I had avoided trying this one for ages, because I don't want to use a plastic bottle, much less with a disposable liner. Does anyone happen to know if the nipples from those bottles fit on any glass bottles out there? I can't seem to figure it out, it seems like the Playtex nipples are a non-standard size. Thanks in advance for any advice!

  • I just tried to put it on a Born Free bottle and it didn't work. :(

  • We use these too and I haven't found a good fit on a different bottle. I'm sorry I'm no help, I just know how it feels when your LO finally finds a nipple they would take.

  • I don't know of any glass options but the nipples work on the wide Playtex Ventaire bottles as well if you want a non-disposable option.
  • This is a problem for us too.  I think DD prefers latex to silicone and this is the only bottle I've found that accommodates that and also has a shape that supports BFing. Thanks for the ventaire tip though DD is currently learning to use a sippy a few times a day so we may just transition to that.  Currently we rinse and reuse the same liner so she goes through one per day.
