She sleeps pretty good at night. Usually 8 pm until 7 am with a bottle around 5 am (but she goes right back to sleep). During the day, it's another story. The last few days have been especially bad. She only sleeps about 30 minutes, then wakes up and I cannot get her to go back to sleep, even though she is very tired. Maybe this is teething, but it is wearing me out. I don't think it is normal to be in a constant state of trying to get LO to go to sleep. When I get her up, she is cranky and clingy. Where did my sweet baby go??? She has never been a long napper, but it seems to be much worse now. Does anyone have any ideas??? What can I do?
Re: I need help with getting LO to sleep
I would try to help but at this point it would be the blind leading the blind. All of the sudden my kiddo has no interest in sleep.
Screaming, however, is now funsies!
We are in the same boat. Wish I could help more, but the only thing that will help sometimes is letting her sleep in her swing. She will sleep for an hour or so in it. The problem is that it is in the living room and I can't really do a whole lot without waking her. Sometimes I will pull it in her room and put her in it, but then it's like a novelty and she looks around the room for like an hour before she goes to sleep.
Of course, I'm trying to get not to take naps in the swing, so that is our problem I think.. At night, we can just lay her in her bed and turn on her music and she goes to sleep no problem!

Wow! I could have written this word for word! I have read two books in the past two weeks and nothing is helping. I love the advice "rock and soothe baby and then put to bed drowsy". Ummm...okay, but that doesn't work!!! The only thing that has worked for us is, the swing (but she will only stay asleep for 15 min), putting her in the baby carrier (Ergo) or sitting there and soothing her over and over and over in my lap on the rocking chair. This works 75% of the time but takes FOREVER and doesn't seem worth it when she wakes up in 30 minutes! Sometimes I just have to let her cry and then pick her up and rock her, but her sniffles kill me. Hopefully this is just a stage, but GOOD LUCK! And I feel your pain.
