do you boil the nipples after every use or wash them? what do you use to wash them?

I usually run them through the dishwasher. Otherwise I use dish soap and water. I try to boil all pacifiers daily and nipples once a week (I EBF with a bottle just once a day until daycare starts). I have a lot of nipples so they're only getting used once or twice before boiling.

this is what i do also. although if i run them through the dishwasher i usually do it on high temp so i don't have to boil them

I think it says on the package that you only need to boil them for the first use??

To other posters - we got thrush and it was a PITA to treat, so I'm a bit on the paranoid side and boil things more often now. And I think the only ones that aren't supposed to be boiled again are the brown latex ones, the silicone ones can be boiled as often as you wish.

The natural latex nipples can only be boiled once prior to the first use to sanitize them. You shouldn't boil them again. The silicone ones can be boiled again to sanitize them. I used the latex so just washed them with soap and water to clean them after the first boil.

I use the silicone nipples. I wash them in hot soapy water daily then on weekends, I use the microwave sanitizer and sanitize all the nipples, rings, pump bottles, and accessories.
