Gown - Hospital's or Yours?

Are you taking your own gown or wearing the hospital gown?

Re: Gown - Hospital's or Yours?

  • for labor definitely hospitals. I went through about 5 as I got VERY gross and sweaty during labor.

Afterwards I wore theirs as well, this time I may take a pair of pjs since I'll actually have visitors. But then again I don't want the mess so I may just use theirs again.

  • Labor is gross, I will so be wearing their gowns.
  • during labor, i am wearing either a tank or a sports bra of my own, and bringing a nursing gown for afterwards as well as a tshirt and pj pants.

  • Theirs during, mine after the c-section. Best thing I did was shower and get in my own yoga pants and nursing tank.
  • I plan on wearing the hospital's until they tell me I am in the clear to shower.  Then I will be changing into my own.
  • Hospitals for sure.  They get very messy and gross.

Maybe get some nursing PJs/gowns for later.

  •  I'm bringing my own - at least 2 sets of pjs/comfy clothes - because I can wear whatever I want. However, I'll decide when I get there what I wear. I'm not committing to anything :)
  • I'm taking a couple.  I'm not sure if I'm going to care what I'm wearing while I'm in labor, but I want to wear my own after.

  • Theirs! I will bring something for when we have visotors but I don't want to get my stuff all bloody.

  • I'm also bringing a bathing suit top for the bath b/c I plan to do it naturally. I know people say you don't care in the moment, but right now I care, so I'm bringing a top for the bath.
  • I'll be using theirs until I can get a shower.  I picked up a soft but light nightgown and robe from Kohls that I will have for post shower/pre visitors.
  • Hospitals all the way - I don't want to get my stuff all gross.

I may bring DH's robe for after (since his is gray and mine is light pink) but thats about it.
