Just wondering here. We try not to let Luc focus on the TV because we don't want him addicted. My 9 year old niece stares at the TV and doesn't process anything. She doesn't even laugh at the funny stuff. It's like she's a zombie! I know it's not realistic for Luc to NEVER watch, but we turn it off if he's focusing too much on it. I figure he has the rest of his life for that
Re: Do you let LO watch television?
We were actually watching Tosh.0 last night.
I love that guy.
I let K watch wonder pets or yo gabba gabba in the morning so I can get some things done. But thats the only time I really will allow him to watch it.
However since he having some many issues eating ...sometimes the only way to get him to eat is turn on the tv. It distracts him (sometimes) and he was drink a couple of ounces without screaming his head off. And until he goes to the Feeding Clinic at the Childrens Hospital...my pedi says whatever works right now do it.
However ...i feel so bad that I do this. I was one of those people that said my child was never going to watch TV.
This. And we said we wouldn't let her watch TV until 2 years old. Oh, well.
My LG has no interest in the TV. Sometimes talking will get him to turn his head to it, but he doesn't really watch or even focus on it.I always have the tv on in the background and he could care less.
At this age, I wouldn't worry too much about the amount of tv they watch. As they get older, then yeah I would definitely limit their tv time.

totally the same here with DS! we do let him watch like mickey mouse or baby einstein if we need a minute (like when i'm trying to make up the bottles for DC in the morning or need to do a few things to get dinner going), but it's not every day and it's not for long periods of time. he loves it! but we do feel very guilty...

Me too. But she totally watches Conan with us when we eat dinner...and in something in the morning so I can pump and eat breakfast...
This! I feel guilty about doing it, but it keeps her attention for a few minutes and sometimes I need a few minutes to prepare food, put a little makeup on for work, etc.
