s/o birthdays, would you do a park birthday in Oct?

I am trying to plan as much of our fall activities this summer when I still feel up to it and am feeling good.  DS's birthday is mid Oct and I have always wanted to do a park birthday party, but never had the guts to plan something that might get rained out.  I feel like the last several years it has been nice enough (if not even hot) to have an outdoor party in early to mid October.  but, I do hate to have it rain and cause us to change it to indoors at our house. 

With me being almost 9 months pg by then, I hate to have OOT guests in our house plus cook and clean for a birthday party.  We are only having immedieate famly and close friends so it will not be a huge party. 

Anyone ever had an outdoor party in October?  Any thoughts?

    My sister's twins have an October birthday and she has had outdoor parties for them several years.  The best one was a harvest party where the kids each got to paint a little pumpkin for a favor.

    Lily's birthday is 10/30 and last year we celebrated her first birthday at a pumpkin patch. It was such a hit and the weather was great. We didnt have room foreveryone in our house and I was set on having it at a pumpkin patch (the theme was "Our Lil' Pumpkin). It turned out to be a gorgeous Fall day. BTW...we celebrated on her birthday (the last Saturday in October) and it was still nice out.

    Sure!

    We did DD's 1st bday part in a park in October.

    Our wedding was also in October, and was outdoors.

    Beautiful weather for both.
