Like PPs I am going to try to make my own. I bought all the little containers and a little puree machine. I am thinking that I will make enough for the whole week, but who knows. I may find that I am too busy to continue and then start buying baby foods.

Baby Led Weaning just means letting your child feed themselves from the very start of weaning.According to the most recent research most babies reach for food at around six months, which is also the time that mothers are being encouraged to weanwww.babyledweaning.com for more info

Also, its not total weaning @ six months, its the start of weaning which can take a while (hoping to nurse till 2ish here). The idea is you just give them peices of food bigger than their windpipe of something soft enough to knaw and they eat what the family eats. They control their intake because food before one is just for fun.

we'll be doing both. we'll probably do mostly store-bought at first to work out the allergies and whatnot. but we plan to puree up whatever we are having for dinner to give to X. Hopefully this way he will grow used to the spices and flavors that we like to cook with that aren't typically child-friendly.

I want to try making my own, but if a certain food is not in season I will just by it in jars. So realistically I will probably do a 50/50 mix. I am excited to start solids... Well kinda, not looking forward to the crazy poops I hear it brings.

The baby bullet is the same as a regular bullet. (dont know if there is a price difference between the two, but I have seen the regular bullet in stores for as low as $40-50) However that baby bullet is pretty darn cute! And I think on some of the infomecials they offer a 2 for 1 deal which may work in your favor...
