Disneyland tips

We are going on Wednesday! I am so excited for everything but the 5 hour flight holding an almost 20 month old. LOL

Any major tips for the park? Do we get a list of which characters are where? We are staying on the property if that helps.

I am a little worried about my spending since it's cashless and they deliver our purchases up to the room. We might be buying 2 more seats for the giant Minnie's my girls will want!

I cannot wait to see their excited faces when they see Minnie! I think I will cry from the joy in their eyes.

Just ask at your hotel, or at 'Town Hall' in Disneyland, and they can tell you where to find the characters.

Have you considered a Character meal? Those can be an easier way to meet characters with little ones.

Make good use of the baby care centers....they are awesome!

Yay for Disney! I have never been to Disneyland but assume it is pretty similar to WDW.

For the park I generally pack a bag pack with all the essentials. Change of clothes, diapers, sunscreen, snacks, band aids, etc. I make sure most everything fits in the bag. Since you park you stroller out in the open I do not leave anything of value in it (some people do). I will leave things like sunscreen in the stroller basket. Find out where the child care center is and take advantage of it. It is great for changing diapers and just taking a break.

You are going to have such an amazing time. One of my best mom moments ever was when we had Katie in Disney when she was 12 months and she gave MIckey the biggest hug. I seriously almost cried it was so precious. The entire line of people waiting to see Mickey let out a collective Awww. : )

I have never done Disneyland but done World many times! You can ship home your stuff that buy, it is far cheaper than having to pay extra over weight bags or extra bags.

As for the character greetings there's an app for that, also has wait times of rides and can find restrooms based on where you are located in the park.

Go to the greeters desk, it might be the post office and the place connected to it. It is at the left side where you enter. They give out free buttons (my first visit, birthday, etc) DD thought those were the best and they made for free souvenirs.

I second the child care area, cool air, little potties, quiet games.

We went last fall and had a blast, are planning to go again this nov or feb.

We are having breakfast with the princesses on Friday and with Minnie on Saturday.

I will definitely take advantage of the child care centers.

If you and your DH plan to ride adult rides make sure you take advantage of the fast-pass and baby swap passes. That way you can each ride things that the girls are too small for. If its a height restricted ride, you can get a fast pass, when the first person goes to the fast pass line talk to the cast member and get a baby swap pass and then the second person can enter the FP line so you guys aren't wasting a bunch of time waiting in line. (I assume this will work the same at DL as WDW).

oh another thing they have photraphers stationed throught the park, use them. they will give you are card and you keep it and hand it to evach photog as the take your pics, at the end of the trip you can see all your photos. we asked one guy to take a pic of us together and he did a neat little effect where tinkerbell is resting on DD's shoulder. we ordered it as an ornament.

oh and snow white is my dd fav princess but snow white scary adventures is just that, scary. DD loved the haunted mansion, but would not go on snow whites ride again. she did like meeting her though

my fav story is as we were walking on a side path from sleeping beauty's castle we met ariel, sleeping beauty and cinderella ust hanging out they gathered a gaggle of girls and played princess says (like simon says) duck duck goose (pricesses do not chase they daintily skip, and told stories. this was a 20 minute deal. DD was one of the youngest at this little imprompteu party so she just sat on the princesses lap as though this was an everyday occurance. DH and i were all smiles

edited tried to post pics but they were huge and i am one handed right now, oh well it was my fav memory

I registered for the photo pass thing already. I am a freak about taking tons of pics. I am so glad there will be someone else there taking pics too (DH cannot be trusted to get a good pic).

Love the princess says game. I hope my girls have that experience too.
