Boy or Girl?

I asked DH if he thinks this baby is a boy or a girl. He said he KNOWS its a girl, I think its a boy. We were driving and I started gettting some sharp pain in my left side that I usually get in my right, when I told DH he said it was LO's other sister, joking that we were having twin girls! DH knows that twins would not be my first choice since I am on the smaller side it was rough at the end being pregnant with one. I think its cute he's wanting twin girls. Anyone else have a huntch as to what sex your baby might be?

I've been thinking girl, but for no apparent reason. I've been wearing a lot of girly colors (even before BFP). So much that my coworkers commented on it. I also slipped and said something to DH about DS's little sister. It was completely out of the blue!

If this one is a girl, we MIGHT be done. If it's another boy (which I would love!), we might try again (and as of now, I'm thinking I want more than 2). So, I'd be thrilled to have one of each and equally thrilled to have another boy (with the possibility of another in our future).

DH is playing the "as long as it's healthy" card, but I know he REALLY wants a girl.

For some reason, I think it is going to be a boy. DH would be thrilled with a boy. I am just going to be happy if it is healthy...these first couple weeks have been making me anxious!!!

I will be happy with either but am secretly hoping that we have a boy first. There are no boys on my side of the family, I have four sisters and three nieces so it would be really nice to add a boy to the mix!

Before the BFP, I thought that for sure it was going to be a girl. Now, we're both thinking "boy." It will be interesting to see

DH is sooooo confident that we're having girl. I'm soooo confident the it's going to be a boy. We're so competitive it'll be interesting to see who "wins" this one. Although I'd be happy with either, I secretly hope its a girl

I don't have a hunch either way and will be ecstatic either way, but DH is positive there are more than one in there. I go to the dr. on June 20th so we will see how many are in there at least

I'm all over the place with this pregnancy. I've been having weird girl dreams so far. With DS I had a dream I was sitting on the bed folding laundry and this little blonde curly haired kid walked into the room and I told him to go ask his dad. From that dream on I was positive I was having a boy.

I'm still on the fence but I am hoping for another dream like that one!

Everyone has always told me I am going to have all boys because I am so girly. I hope we have at least one of each before we're done, but it doesn't really matter to me what order they come in and I too just want a healthy baby.

That said, after I ran into the bedroom with my BFP to show DH, I plopped on the bed and said to myself "OMG I'm pregnant and I'm going to have a girl." I have no idea where it came from, so I'll be interested to see if I was right. But DH still insists it is a boy.

I'm pretty sure it's another girl. Based on when we had sex and when I ovulated...the timing is right for girl.

I want a girl, but feel that it'll be a boy. Everyone around me is having girls so, by random chance of luck, I'll be the one with the boy. DH wants a boy, but thinks it'll be a girl. He grew up with 5 sisters and is convinced he's going to be stuck with girls all his life. Lol.

Well, one time when DH called it his little boy, I quickly said :" It's a girl". I don't know where that came from but that's my guess.

I'm pretty sure it is a boy. But I also think that DD's daughter would handle the news better if it were a boy so it is a bit self serving....

I just did the Chinese gender chart (it was right with LO) and it says boy! I hope Im right because dh and I have a bet going Big Smile

Just curious how you calculate when you had sex and ovulate to figure the sex. I would like to do that.

I have a feeling it's a girl! I have had greasy skin and pimples since before I even saw the BFP and I was told that if you are pregnant with a girl, your skin goes crazy!!! I'm also thinking that maybe I'm having multiples. I did fertility treatments and had about 6 follies when they did the IUI...so lets pray it's not 6 babies!!!lol But, I am thinking that I have at least 2 in the oven...not sure why, just a feeling! So, maybe I'll get a boy and a girl!!!! That would fantastic!:)

not sure. we will be super thrilled either way. we love having a boy and would love having a brother for DS -- and i have so much boy stuff - i would love to be able to re-use it all! we would also love a girl because it would be new and different.

i'm not sure how i feel yet - i think it's still early. although i really haven't been craving any sweets this time around -- more sandwiches, fruits & vegetables. very different than my first pregnancy! we'll see!!

I'm not sure how they're doing it, it sounds like a fun thing to speculate with. It won't really mean anything though because it is the dad who determines the gender of the baby.

My guess for me is boy. No reason other than that we agreed on a boy's name years ago and I don't want the headache of sorting out the girl name thing.

ok - so.

boy sperm travel faster, but die quicker.

girl sperm travel slower, but live longer.

if i had sex on monday, then O'd thurs and got a BFP - id assume girl. by the time you O'd, all the boy sperm would have died and the girls would be left to get.

if you had sex only on the day you O - then its more likely a boy. fast moving sperm get there quickest.

if you had sex all week, then who knows! lol

I don't have any strong feelings yet either way. We both just *knew* dd was a girl before we found out. I would absolutely love to have another girl. I have a younger sister about the same age difference as dd and the new baby will be - there's just something about that sisterly bond. Then again, we'd absolutely love to add a sweet little guy to the family, too!!
