Hi - we need to finalize daycare and I feel liked we looked at so many - so far we like Columbia Academy Kendall Ridge/108 and Childtime on 103 the best. We hated the Kindercare we saw, and didn't like The Young School or Goddard School we looked at as much as the first two. In anycase, if anyone has experience or opinions of these I'd love to hear - also any other recommendations.
Thanks!
Re: Anyone familiar with these daycare centers in Howard County?
I have my DD at Columbia Academy Kings Contrivance. I am overall happy with them, but they suck at communication IMO. DD is transitioning to another class/teacher on Monday and last week every day it was a different re what teacher/what kids would be in her class. check back on Monday, Madlady's infant DD is at CA Kendall Ridge and I think she's pretty happy.
What I do like about them for infant case is that the teachers transition w/ the kids until they graduate to the 2s class, so they build a really strong, secure attachment w/ their primary teacher.
It's not that we didn't like them, they just came out lower on our pro/con list compared to Columbia Academy and Childtime.
Sorry I am chiming in late, but I really like DD's teachers at CA Kendall Ridge. I have only been there about 2 months, but they are great. DH will often pick DD up early, so he stops in at odd times and has never seen anything amiss. Their communication isn't too bad, i.e. they don't wait until the last minute to tell you things.
We looked at childtime in EC and while I liked their program well enough, there were a few things about the director that really bothered me. Plus, I remember them being an extra $100 a month.
