Pregnant after a Loss

GummyBear - I bought the BOB

Not as good as the deal you got, but with no shipping or taxes, it's cheaper than the 2011 with the 20% coupon at REI in the fall. I'm terrible making large purchases...

I am a bit worried that this isn't the right fit for us.I see everyone around here has one, but am now wondering if I could simply use a Bumbleride Flite, which my brother raves about. AHHHHH! I think I'm going to be that person who has three or four strollers?

FYI, your number is so tiny - 50+ days left!

Me, too!  I replied to your OP, Gummy, but wanted to thank you again!

Jill, I agree on the multiple stroller thing.  DH has researched the heck out of and likes the the Teutonia T-Linx and Uppababy Vista so I suspect we will have a second stroller at some point (why he is so into the stroller thing I am not sure).  But I loved the flexibility and durability of the BOB.  We just looked at the 2011 version on Sunday but I could not stomach the price tag.  Perfect timing for the lightning deal!

  • YAY!!!

You will LOVE it. Seriously. I am in awe of it and I am generally unimpressed with these things.

It's really the best deal going. The 2011 has a few cool features but nothing worth $100+.

    PS -- I have 3 strollers now :P

  • From what I've heard on other boards, if you don't like your BOB or find no use for it, you can usually sell it on Craig's list for retail value or close to it.

This is totally true. The way I sold my DH was to send him all the CL listings for used ones. They QUICKLY go for $300+ here, even a few years old.

Ditto. I could have gotten a BOB for $175 on craigslist (about 3-4 years old) if it weren't for having the chicco car seat. That's the rationalization that made me ok with risking the money on the 2011 (which I got for $381, so not too much different than the 2010).  I can't wait for my first run in the park with it!

  • We own a BOB- it's awesome, I can almost guarantee you won't regret it, especially if you try it compared to other strollers.  We were thinking of selling it to get a nice double (which we will not be doing), and DH was heartbroken at the thought of selling it because he loves it so much!

I feel better now that I know you have 3 :) At this point we're getting most things used for free from everyone we know, so I'm ok with the price tag. Just find it hard to make big purchases in life. You should have seen me when I was signing the contract on our house!
