We found out last week that we are most likely having 2 girls (we will hopefully get confirmation on this at our next appointment). Even though it's not final I'm ready to start looking for a good twin sib set for two daughters. We have decided on Estelle after my great grandmother for one of them and I'm having a hard time choosing a second girl name.
My husband and I both love Charlotte but I'd like to go with something a little less popular. I would also really like to have my other great grandmother represented somehow but am not at all in love with her name - Ethel Frances. Thoughts? You ladies are always so good with the suggestions!

Normally I loathe the idea of sibsets and I say go for names you like and don't worry about it. However, "Estelle" and "Frances" strike me as too starkly different for twin girls. While both are older names (and I love them both), "Estelle" has a lot more glamor that "Frances." I feel like, if I were watching a movie and there were twins with those names, Estelle would be the pretty carefree twin and Frances would be the serious hardworking twin with glasses.
I agree with PPs that "Francesca" is really gorgeous and I think on "equal footing" with Estelle.
Estelle and Francine
Estelle and Lucille
This. As much as I want to love the name Frances (gosh, I am Catholic and a huge fan of the Saint), I just don't love the name. Francesca is gorgeous though! Also:
Estelle and Helene
Estelle and Rose
Estelle and Margaret
Estelle and Margot
You can always use Edith or Frances as a mn.
I agree with your Estelle vs Frances summary. Very good way to put it. I will ask my husband about Francesca but I think it's going to be too much of a mouthful with our 3 syllable, 12 letter last name

I don't really care for Estelle but I love Ethel. But I would never suggest to name twins or siblings Estelle and Ethel.
I agree with the pp remarks about Frances. But I like variations of it such as:
Francine, Francesca
Or she could go by a NN such as Frannie or Frankie to not make Frances so fun hating.
Other options I'm loving these days: Alice, Bianca, Corinne, Daphne, Genevieve, Hazel, Harriet, Ida, Jane, Miriam, Marian, Norah, Penelope, Susannah, Virginia, Violet
I agree w/ pp: Francesca!
If you go in for super cute matchy-matchy, you could always use Luna.

I'm surprised there was one "Yay!" for Ethel. I can't even see the name without hearing my Gran (her DH) yelling it from across the house. Not a pretty sound, LOL!!
