My other SIL posted this on FB. She was scheduled to go in this morning for an induction at 41w4d. I posted earlier this week that I thought it would be funny if she went on he own but I didn't think it would be this fast and furious.
What an adventure!! SIL left the house at 3:15 a.m. after A and I got there to watch the kids, and at 3:48 a.m., Makenna was born! They almost didn't make it to the hospital! She didn't have time for meds, and pushed out, all natural, a 9 pound 9 ounce baby! She did great! And Makenna is gorgeous! I love my new baby niece!!!
I wish we lived closer to them so our LO's could be besties. I guess we'll just have to visit them a lot.
Re: Holy crap! SIL birth story
Wow!! Very quick birth! Awesome news though!
I have a girlfriend that had the same experience. Checked into the hospital at 6:15 a.m., had her LO at 6:45 a.m.!
She wrote this as well after I commented that it was crazy.
It was crazy! She started having pains at 1:30, J called us about 2:30, when we got to the house, she was pretty much less than a minute apart. They were supposed to go to the Hospital on base, which is 45 minutes away, but I told J to take her to the one here, cause I didn't think she would make it. A half hour later, here comes Kenna! Can you imagine J having to deliver her on the side of the road in their car!!!?
I asked how she was doing because 9,9 is a big baby and she said she tore a little but otherwise she's fine. She is a chunky little thing! She's bigger than her cousin who is already 6 weeks.
