Failed 1 hour glucose test

Super annoying. Now I have to go in for the 3-hour test, which I didn't know required you to actually spend the entire 3 hours at the clinic...I know that it is in the name, but somehow that didn't click.

I was just over the cutoff, I was 148 and if you are over 140 they ask you to come in for the other test, so I'm disappointed. I eat healthy and my weight is good, which I know does not guarantee that you won't get gestational diabetes, but I just wasn't expecting it. Crossing my fingers that I don't actually have it!

 Ugh...enough ranting.

    i know it's frustrating, but just keep reminding yourself that it's all to make sure you and baby are healthy and safe until Sept.  GL!

    Take a good book or a laptop and try to see the 3 hours as time to relax ;) The 3 hour sucks, and if you have it GD sucks, but it's all manageable and temporary. Good luck!

    I'm sorry for that, I hope you have better luck at your 3 hour test! I go for my 1 hour on Wednesday and am nervous that I won't be passing mine as well. Sad

    When I did my 3 hour, they watched me like a hawk to make sure I didn't eat or drink anything after drinking the glucola, but I'm not sure if everywhere is that strict. I would really recommend that you at least take a swig of water to rinse out your mouth after drinking so you don't have to sit there with a nasty taste in your mouth.

    Oh and bring a small snack for when you are done. I actually felt worse for an hour after drinking than I did when the entire 3 hours were up, but you will be hungry!

    The cut off at my doctor is 130 and I got a 134 on my 1 hour.  I did my 3 hour on Friday and passed with no problem at all!  It is a pain to do, but if it keeps baby safe, it is worth it.  Hang in there, it will be over soon!

    Blah - me, too...  Mine was 146.  For what it's worth - I was even higher than that with Baby #2 and after the 3 hour test I checked out fine - here's to hoping for the same results tomorrow!  When are you going back for the 3 hour test??  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, as well!  :)
