Diagnose me please....

Yesterday I was out and about - and I realized I hadn't peed in 5 and half hours. I really didn't have to pee, except for the last hour (but I was stuck on a commuter train).

Well, when I finally went, it felt great, but it also really hurt. Ever since then, every time I peed, it HURTS. It's not a burn, but rather like a "baby.on.my.bladder" kinda pressure.

Thoughts? UTI? If it's UTI, I should go to my gyno, right?

Any blood? Could be a UTI but when I've had them I feel like I constantly have to pee, it hurts really bad while I'm peeing and I see blood in my urine. You can try cranberry juice. Also, I think there are some at-home diagnostics that you can get at the pharmacy. And if it really hurts and you need relief before you get to see the doc, there is something called uristat (I think) that should help until you get there.

Yesterday there was a tiny slight pink tinge - today it's gone.

I've already downed a bottle of cranberry juice. Any excuse for me to get my sugar.

regular cran juice will do NOTHING for a UTI. bad myth. (I actually think the sugars made mine worse, really) You can drink UN-sweetened shots of cran juice, to raise the acidity of your urine, but that's not necessary.

You should get it checked out, just in case. I got them a lot back in the day, and I had that pressure sometimes. Tons of water is great, and yes, Uristat numbs the pain, but will make your urine a funky orange color.

untreated UTI's get nasty, quick. hopefully you'll feel better soon!

whichever one is easier for you do deal with/get in to see if necessary. I'd likely call my gyno

You can call your regular doctor too. Just beware, if you take the uristat (which really helps with the pain) it will turn your urine red/orange and stain anythin it comes in contact with!
