Yep, Tinypic sucks balls. It took me hours just to get a code for the one picture in my siggy, so I gave up. I can't do anything from work, but I'll try again tonight when I'm at home! I did upload a new album to FB that my friends and friends of friends can see. I really didn't take many myself, and I'm waiting on my friends and family to send me the ones they took!
Her party went well and she had tons of fun! The only big snafu was the cake. After the cake-pop fiasco, it was too late to order a professional cake so I asked my step-mother to make B a plain white, two-tiered cake (she made my wedding cake and did an amazing job). I had a monogrammed fondant topper that I was going to use for her smash cake, so I figured we could use the top tier as the smash cake and put the topper on that. Well, she totally ignored my request and made a huge single tier that she randomly decorated with aqua designs and writing (the party colors were royal blue and pink). I couldn't really say anything without seeming ungrateful, but I was really upset. And the topper looked ridiculous on it. And B had no smash cake. But in the end I decided not to care and just enjoy the party. B didn't know the difference--she had a ball and that's all that matters!

I'm sorry things didn't go exactly as planned. I'm sure the party was great. Betsy looks like such a big girl in that picture! So cute!

I'm sorry the cake wasn't what you wanted, but I'm so glad the rest of the party went well!
I know all about wanting a particular kind of cake. I did a practice cake yesterday that overflowed all into my gd-ed cake-intended oven. I am hoping I can still pull off an awesome cake, but I am preparing myself for an embarrassingly epic failure of a cake.
Sookie you are making the healthy cake, right? with applesauce (or whatever it is that you use instead of oil)?

Nope. Straight-up mommy fail here, making a cake from cake mix. I have SO many dishes to prepare for the birthday bbq that I just can't make a cake from scrathc.
I had big plans to do that, but the more I think about it the more I think I will go the boxed route as well. We are also having a bbq (tailgate) and I just will have a lot of food to make!

I just convo'd the seller and she created a custom listing for me. I was VERY happy with the blocks--in fact they were the only Etsy birthday purcahse that didn't turn out to be a huge fail.
JKat, that actually makes me feel better. :P Thanks, I as feeling like a bum, but I have pasta salad and a shat-ton of other stuff to make, so boxed it is. No one will really care about the cake but me anyway.
My thoughts exactly. I will have a lot of food to make and I don't really want to pawn all the food making off on my family, so I will do it myself. I figure it's nice that I'm making the cake anyway, instead of buying it (and I'm only doing that because I'm so cheap!!)

Thank you! I'm sorry it's so huge but as long as it took to get a code from tinypic for it, I doubt I'll be resizing it anytime soon!
