Tips on how to find an in home daycare provider?

Lately there have been some changes with the girl who watches DD and I want to see what other options I have. I love using an in home provider, but I'm not sure where to start looking. I found our current provider through our good friends, and they have the same concerns that we currently have.

Trying for #2 since July 2010
BFP 8/1/10, missed m/c, D&C 9/15/10.
BFP 1/8/11, chemical pregnancy.
BFP 3/4/11, measured behind all along, no more HB 4/18/11. D&C 4/29/11. HCG didn't drop, Repeat D&C 6/17/11; confirmed molar pregnancy 6/23/11.
Forced break, including two Hysteroscopies in October to remove retained tissue.
BFP 12/29/11! Betas @ 10 dpo = 85, 14 dpo= 498, 22 dpo = 7242
Heard HB 1/24/12. 144 bpm!

    I would say that word of mouth is still probably a good option.  Talk to everyone you know - neighbours, friends, playgroups, other childcare providers.  Good luck!

    We've found all our caregivers for DS through CL.  I know some people are hesitant, but we had good luck and of course still did background checks, called references, etc... so we knew we were leaving him in good hands.

    This. I was unsure of whether it would work out but all her references were amazing and I count myself blessed that I found her because she is the most amazing person and I go to work knowing my son is safe.
