Good place for maternity bathing suit?

I've seen a lot of tankinis around, but haven't tried any on.  I had thought that it would make more sense to wait until I'm closer to needing one.  If you've bought one already, where did you get it?  How much was it?  What style is it?  Anything else I'm not thinking of?

Re: Good place for maternity bathing suit?

  • I bought a plain black tankini from Motherhood maternity. I don't quite remember how much it was- maybe around $40? I needed something supportive and it fit the bill.

  • I bought a maternity tankini at target. They had mix and match so I got a black bottom, and then a top with black and grey.. the whole thing cost me less then $20.

  • I bought a tankini from Old Navy for around $30. It is a halter, and not very supportive, but the straps are long enough that I was able to sew them down in a criss-cross in the back, and now it fits really well! I love it!

  • I am ordering one online today from Motherhood. I looked all around to compare prices/styles last night. I found a tankini for $29. My bff got hers from Old Navy and she plans to give it to me. I just don't want to rely on her so I am buying my own too.

  • I got a tankini top from Target this time. It's very comfortable and supportive (and I have huge b00bs). It was less than $20.

I also have a tankini set from H&M from last time, and I use that bottom with the top I bought from Target. The H&M top is a little small and fit better when I was not as pg.

I also have a tankini set from ON, which I hate, because it is not supportive at all.

The exact same over here. I need something supportive chasing DD around at the beach and going into pools with her.

  • I saw a bunch that would work for maternity wear at boscovs that are actually not in maternity section.  I just liked their variety and plan to shop there before my vacation in July.  I am also planning to checkout Target, Jcpenney, and motherhood maternity.  GL

  • The only one I found that I even remotely liked was from Target it was $20 for each piece. It had brief that came up higher on the waist, I am just not an under the belly kinda girl.  So I really had to hunt for something that didn't go there. GL.

  • LOVE my suit from Target - racerback tankini top and swim skirt (both Liz Lange).  The top is very supportive and  has side ruching.  I don't think I'll outgrow it in the next 12 weeks.  Tried on every suit at Motherhood, and didn't like any of them.
