What do/did you put your baby under 1yr to bed in? DD goes in her crib (which is in our room) then comes to bed and stays in bed with us after her first waking. We keep our room pretty cool with a fan on, so right now I'm putting her in a long sleeve feetie pjs. When she comes to bed with me she doesn't go under covers, she just snuggles close to me. The blankets stay low below my waist. Just wondering if this is too warm for her, she seems okay though. Anyway, what does your LO wear?
Re: Can we talk PJs and blankets?
i don't think that's too warm. it really depends on the temp of your house though, but i imagine that since you're in FL, that you've probably got the a/c on and then w/a fan on, i think a light footed sleeper is a good weight pj for a 6mo old.
we currently keep our house at 74 at night, and ds's pjs consist of a tshirt and wool shorties and socks. and then he sleeps under a light chenille blanket and then a flannel/fleece type blanket on top depending on how hot it is. i keep his ceiling fan on medium or high. lately it's been on high since his room has been kind of hot. he sleeps better when his room is cool though vs warm.
i think since you're not using a blanket on her, then i'd keep using the footed pjs. if you used a blanket on her, then that might be too warm, but w/o one i think what you're doing sound good.
That's what I've always done with both of my boys. I figure it's pretty cool with the fans on and the a/c blowing that they need to footed pj's. (We keep out house pretty cool). And in their own beds they won't keep blankets on so they need something more than just a diaper or shorts.
When DS was going from his bed to our bed, we put a onesie under his footed jammies and when he came to our bed, we took the sleeper off on nights it was warm. If it was cooler, we left it on unless he was uncomfortable. As soon as he was old enough for a light blanket over him, we did that instead of an extra onesie underneath. Now that he's a bigger baby or little toddler (?) he wears long sleeves and pants jammies or a footed sleeper and we cover him with a thin flannel blanket and either blanket my grandma knit for him or a light fleece blanket.
