(I'm going to post this on second tri too b/c a lot more people visit there)
I've always had normal-ish blood pressure. Generally 115-125/75-85.
Lately, my blood pressure has been super low and I've been feeling icky almost every single day between the hours of 11am-1pm.
{I own a blood pressure cuff b/c I was having fainting spells a few years ago due to a drop in blood pressure}
All weekend my blood pressure was around the 70-109/42-55 range-- mostly coming in at 90/42. I googled it and basically was told that a diastolic pressure of 42 would mean that I'm dead.
Well, I'm not and it's 42. I tested every hour and it remained 42 until this evening after I ate dinner.
I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow but has anyone else had really low blood pressure and/or know what I can do to make me feel better every day? I should note I am not dehydrated. I drink more water than a fish lately.
Re: Low Blood Pressure anyone?
I have had low blood pressure and the nurse said it was not surprising as I am hypothyroid. If you are really feeling icky, I would at least mention thyroid to your doctor. 20% of women get thyroid issues during pregnancy (that go away after most of the time).
So sorry you are feeling icky!
How are you testing? Some of the at home devices can be pretty inaccurate.
My BP used to always be pretty average (117-120/80ish) but starting the last time I was pregnant it dropped pretty good and has never gone back up. Normal for me now is more like 90/60. 42 is pretty darn low and if you are also not feeling so hot, I'd call and talk to a nurse.
