Hi girls!
My name is Leslie and I am a SAHM to my two boys. They are 12.5 months apart and are almost 2 and almost 1... oh, and I'm pregnant again! Hehe. I will have 3 kids under 2.5 when my newest one is here
Anyways, I am blessed to live in a nice area where I can walk to the grocery store, coffee place, toy store, place to eat and 4 different parks. I walk all the time at least a few miles each time.
I have a Bumbleride Indie twin stroller now and LOVE it. It is falling apart because that thing gets a ton of use, lol! My problem is that my oldest will not be able to walk as far as I want to walk after the baby is born. I will need a stroller that can handle three little ones.
I have three realistic options
1. Bugaboo Donkey. It seats two and I can get a toddler step for my oldest
- cons: expensive (but we can afford it) and no third seat for if all 3 want to sit (I do have and use an Ergo quite a bit, though)
2. Can't remember the brand, but there is a side by side tripple jogging stroller. It has great reviews
- cons: it is too wide to fit though a standard door way so I would not be able to take in the grocery store or to the mall or anyplace else. I would only be able to use it for walks and would have to buy a second stroller for shopping trips
3. Joovy double stroller with a toddler step
- cons: it's a cheap stroller and I'm not sure that it can hold up to my abuse. I have a friend that has one and she hates it and wont go on long walks because it isn't comfortable to push
Am I missing an option that any of you have?!
Last question:
Do any of you cloth diaper? I am considering it to save $ and help with our uber sensitive skin problems. I am not sure if that it would be easy to cloth diaper 3 kids!
Re: Intro and a few questions :)
congrats and welcome!
Baby jogger just came out with a board you can attach to their strollers for teh toddler to stand on. So I plan on getting one to add to my city select when we have #3. If its cool out I would wear the ergo and push the double you have if I were you, at least when the baby is anewborn since they like to be worn mostly.
I do know there is a jump seat you can attach to some double joggers...I think vaclo makes one....I would ask the mulitiples board.
I cloth diaper about 75 % of the day. When we go out I hate changing them often and with cloth I have to change them about every 1.5 to 2 hours. DS pees a lot and so he will leak wear CDs, if we are out for less than an hour I will leave them in cloth, otherwise they were sposies. I recently started couponing and so I find some great diaper coupons and you can use a manufacturer coupon and store at the same time to lower the price. If you have never used cloth before, then I would try to do a trial from a online store. That way you can see what you would like, and whats cheapest. I find laundry to be the most annoying with CDs. I like my pocket diapers, but I hate stuffing them. That takes too much time to me.
Good luck!
A friend of mine who had infant twins and a toddler had the Valco Tri Mode Twin with the toddler seat:

I have also seen this online - it is an Australian company, so I am not sure you can get it in the US (maybe it can be ordered online?)...but it looks cool:
