DH thinks it's time to cut DS's hair. I'm looking for a place to take him that will make our first hair cut experience decent and I don't want to give up half of the college fun to do so! Please recommend your place.
I take Logan to Cookie Cutters. I could probably find somewhere cheaper, but I'm willing to pay a little extra for the "experience." They have cute little cars for the kids to sit in and dvds for them to watch, so he is always distracted enough to behave. The first haircut was $15-16 because we got the special certificate, photo, and lock of hair, but I believe the regular price is $13.95 and they do have coupons sometimes.
Re: Hair cuts for kids?
For the first cut, we took Katie to Kiddie Kastle on US-42 in Florence. They give you a curl and a little certificate. It's pricey around $20 I think.
Now, she just goes to Great Clips with Joe when he goes, but I will probably start taking her to my stylist since she will cut her hair for only $10.
Katie: 1/16/08 2lbs. 15oz.
Abby & Emily: 12/31/10 6lbs. 2oz. & 5lbs. 7oz.
You can hold the child in your lap if they won't sit in a booster. The hair stylist will be able to cut around you.

Yes, I get them through e-mail.
