Hi ladies! I will try to keep this as clean as possible. :-)

I thought AF was visiting today, as I woke up and with light spotting. I put a tampon in and when I went to change it hours later, I noticed that I had VERY dark discharge - almost black. I did some research and it looks like it may be oxidized blood/left over from my last cycle. I have a doctor's appointment on the 10th to talk about bleeding during intercourse, (which happened to be during O as well) so I'll address this too. My cycle is definitely being a drama queen this go 'round. Just wanted to ask has anyone else experienced this? I'm on CD 40 right now (if this is not AF) and it's pretty normal for me to have really long cycles.

    I don't know anything about this but the "blackish" discharge would have me worried. I would call your OB and ask to speak to a nurse. They may want you to come in sooner. If not, at least you will have called.

    I don't know anything about black discharge either, but I do bleed often during intercourse (sometimes a lot too) which is incredibly bothersome. I would guess that it may be related to that. Sometimes I guess there's blood vessels that get aggrivated during intercourse so maybe it would be a little scabbing? IDK. Let us know what your doctor says, and I hope that it's nothing to worry about.

    I would call the doctor right away.  Black blood could indicate it's coming from somewhere else internally, and it should be looked into right away.  I'm sure it's just left over blood, but black blood should be looked into.

    Have you been checked for bleeding during intercourse? I'm asking, because I used to bleed a few years ago and after getting checked they found that I had HPV and abnormal cervical cells, which was causing the bleeding. I had to get cyrosurgery and everything was fine after that. That's my main concern with bleeding during sex and why I'm concerned about my bleeding now. And of course the black blood/discharge. Really weird. 

    Anyway, thanks ladies! I'm calling the doctor in the morning...we'll see how that goes, since it's a military facility and they are pretty much a waste of space - no offense to anyone who has had good experiences.
