Christening outfit

For those of you who are having your LO's baptized/christened, where have you purchased outfits from? I am not a fan of satin, and everything I have seen online is satin! I am also looking for either pants/shorts for DS. TIA!!

    I have been shopping all week!  Christening gowns are so expensive, It would be different if I didn't need two!  I was looking on Ebay the other day and they had some good deals.  I do know that BRU has some decent priced outfits for boys that are polyester.

    I had mine made from my wedding dress. It turned out beautiful.

    maybe you could borrow one from a friend?    thats what we did, but we're not having anymore kids.  maybe you want one to keep.  try a childrens second hand store.  or if you have a burlington coat factory, jc penney, bon ton.  saw some at these stores that were reasonably priced ($35-$50).

    i went to Macy's and found an all white linen shirt and pant set in the regular clothing dept. I was like you that I didnt like the satin stuff. i loved what I got him

    I had DD's Christening outfit made from my wedding gown and my SIL's.( We plan on passing it down through our children. (my train was detachable, so the woman just used that. My dress wasn't touched) I did this back in January, because it takes awhile. The gown is a traditional long gown, and can be worn by either a girl or boy (although I think it's a bit more girly lol)

    I purchased my daughters gown at pinkprincess.com   They have boys suits as well, not sure what htey are made of.

    My mother is making DD's Christening gown from her wedding gown.

    We went into a local store that specializes in Baptism/Christening clothes/jewellery/favours, etc, and they had little boy outfits there. Everything Baptism/Christening related though seems to be in white satin though.

    What about just buying him just a nice outift to wear?
