Dunstan baby language?

Have you heard of this? Supposedly our babies are trying to speak to us through their cries, they say 5 basic words telling us if they are hungry, sleepy, dirty, burpy or gassy. If this is true then all my baby ever tells me is she needs to burp

    :) Same for my LO. lol But, every time she makes the sound, she burps. I have also heard the low groan sound cry too. I guess baby is never hungry! ;)

    I personally don't believe in her theory. It is interesting, and maybe it works for her baby, but so far all I hear is eh and neh, and my baby says she's hungry after she's eaten and she needs to burp all the time. She doesn't even drink out of bottles, she's boob fed, how is she that gassy?

    I recommend this program...it helped a lot with DD1.  Neh could also mean she wants to suck..not just eat. Babies can get gas from what you eat and pass through to her (like broccoli or cucumbers) and from inhaling too much air when feeding regardless of the source.

    Ben burps and farts like a man since he was born.  It's ridiculous.

    My "Princess" burps and farts just like her daddy...its gross. I spent 30 min yesterday trying to burp her to no avail...maybe shes baby dyslexic?

    I can tell the gas, sleepy and hungry cries.  It's pretty cool!

    We have a very farty, burpy Princess here, too.

    It's been heaven sent for us. He definitely clearly says all those words, the neh sound is so clear and he only does it when he's hungry, I have a hard time telling between the eh and eairh but since the sound so similar I burp him and try to help him pass gas. This has decreased my stress a whole lot! feeling like I can actually understand my baby!

    Yeah it doesn't work for me either. My baby is usually pretty calm, but when he is hungry or wet..he just lets out a loud scream.

    Same here!  He definitely gets gassy and if he doesn't burp he will cry.  I feel terrible.  But it's nice to know what he needs!

    DH and I swear by this...Ari definitely lets us know and is a much happier baby now that we're quicker with deciphering what he wants and needs.
