Blossom Birth Center?

Although my insurance (United Healthcare) does cover birthing centers, they only cover those in-network and whattya know... there aren't any in the area! Blossom is out of network but is very close to my house. I'm seriously considering paying for it myself.
Has anyone else given birth at Blossom? How was your experience and what were the costs when all is said and done? Thanks!!

They opened really recently, but I hear wonderful things about the MWs there AND the MWs at Babymoon Inn, which is the other recently-opened birth center in Phoenix.
Also, if there are no in-network birthing centers in your area, ask if UHC will accept an out-of-network at in-network cost. It can't hurt to try!!
Hello! My name is Casey and my husband and I gave birth to our son naturally on 4/15/2011 at Blossom in phoenix and it was amazing! It was our first child and after much research we went with Blossom and could not be more pleased. Nichelle (md) and Mary (midwife) were unbelievable throughout the whole process. Everyone is on the same page at that facility and the specialized staff is dilligent and willing at all times. They exceeded our expectations and made our first birth such a wonderful experience. I told the ladys i would say something online and this was the only site i could find to comment on, so i hope this gets out to others. I could not see going any other way after the care, compassion, follow up, truth, positive energy, and love we recieved there. Its a new facility with a ton of expertise flowing throughout on all levels, i put my stamp on it, dont hesitate!
