Okay so I know this is an odd question considering I already have a child, but Max only wore onsies and maybe a random pair of pants during the first 6 months of his life in the NICU.
So here is my question, approximately how many outfits do I need to get in each size category? Right now I have about 10 complete outfits (with a few random pants or shirts that I can match up to something else) in each size.. Do I need to get more? 10 doesn't sound like a lot to me when I think about the fact that she'll be wearing the same outfit every 10 days or so. I don't know, maybe I am ovethinking this whole thing.
I am shopping off of all the clearance racks going up in ever store in the area so I can't pass up the deals, but I don't want overdo it either.
Thanks Ladies

Re: Question about how many baby clothes to get
I think that's a great start and honestly wouldn't get anymore... for a couple of reasons...
- More than likely once baby girl gets here you will get a TON of clothes as gifts. People just can't stand to not buy baby clothes... especially little girl clothes. I was so overwhelmed when DS was born with the amount of clothes I got.
- I found that my 9lb 9oz at birth tank actually used newborn size clothes for a few weeks. Then he blew through 0-3 months (which we had a TON of and I washed them all
) in a very short time. He was in 3-6 forever then almost went right to 12 months. I SO wish I had just bought as we went along and as needed... I feel like a lot of stuff was wasted/never worn. This time I'm keeping all receipts and tags on so I can exchange for bigger sizes if I need to.
I have been avoiding getting anything so far (okay, I got 3 ridiculously cute outfits off zulily but they were great deals!) because of what happened with DS. Plus, I went nuts on my son's clothes... I am scared what I will do with all the girls clothes... it's a whole new world this time! Good Luck!
It is so hard to say!!
Everyone told me to not buy hardly any newborn clothes - well that ended up being wrong because he was preemie. So he was in newborn clothes for a few months. He is now in 0-3 months & I think we (he) will be in these for another month then 3-6.
Nolan has WAY MORE than he needs but I can't help myself. He probably & no lie here has 20-25 rompers for summer already (that's not counting onesies, etc.) just rompers. He probably has equally as many sleepers.
I LOVE clothes & he does get changed 2-3 times a day depending on what we are doing, where we are going, temp changes, etc. I know I change him a LOT. He by nowhere needs all that he has but I LOVE being able to dress him like a little "dude" I also like that I never "have" to do his laundry!
I'd be in soooo much trouble with a little girl!!
Thanks for the advice ladies.
I know that we will need more newborn sized clothes because unfortunately she will be delivered via csection at 37 week so she will probably be on the smaller side.
I think I am set on everthing else based on what you all said. I overbought with Max and I have a ton of clothes that he never wore. As hard as it is, I am trying not to do the same with her. Girl clothes are so much cuter though
Thanks ladies!

I like to get at least 8 pairs of pj's - the footed sleepers and then at least 10 "outfits" in each size. So for the twins, I have 16 pj's and 20 outfits since I have to double everything.
I stick with the fleece pj's for the winter and the cotton ones for summer. We use sleepsacks to make them warmer if needed.
Right now, I'm doing laundry every 3 days for the twins, so we have plenty. However, I have to pack at least 2 outfit changes in their daycare bag. That takes a lot of wardrobe away from them.
The amount let's me go at least a week without having to do laundry, but in the beginning if they spit up or had a blow-out, I have lots of back-ups. Plus, if I'm being lazy, they can just wear the footed sleepers all day. I just like to change them into pj's as part of our bedtime routine.
