Back on Met...yuck!

I have been back on Met and am starting slow and building up to a higher dose.  I DO NOT remember feeling so horrible the others times I've gotten on the med. 

On top of having a horrible chest cold & cough, my stomach is killing me.  I feel like I'm in my first trimester of pregnancy all over again.

How long does it take for it to get into your system so you don't feel sick anymore.  This is no bueno!

    Really interesting because I had a much harder time adjusting to it after DS2 then I did when I went on it the first time (when we were TTC DS1....)

    I found that my body "liked" Fortamet ER. It is the brand name.......the Metforim generic made me pretty sick. But, once I demanded the Fortamet again, I felt better.

    Also, I had to be on the PCOS diet (i.e. no white starches, no sweets, low carb, etc).

    Someone had just posted on here the other day about a brand name pill called Glumetza. I had read about it on soulcysters.com and was going to try it out but then my body did okay on the Fortamet.

    Maybe try a different brand???
