In the past two years, I have been allergic/intolerant (I stopped trying to guess which was which and just avoided it all) to wheat, milk, sugar, carbohydrates, and now corn. We were afraid that DD would also have crazy food allergies.
She does... poor child!!
I'm not sure whether she is allergic or intolerant.. I'm leaning toward intolerant though, because her symptoms are mostly GI, but I've thought about it so much that I am just confused. So I don't know.
If I have an allergic/intolerant reaction, it causes my stomach to bloat to incredible proportions, my face swells ever so slightly, I get horrible gas, and I fall asleep nearly instantly.
Also, if I react, Abigail reacts (her little belly swells too). I assume something goes through breast milk...
Does anybody else ever have this happen??
Next, I was wondering if there could possibly be certain symptoms that go with particular allergies.
For example, I found blood in her diaper-- she's allergic to milk.
I'm absolutely dairy free, so I know this could not be causing her latest problems.
Lately, she has been having horrible green poop tinged with mucus, that makes her belly hurt to the point of screaming.
This particular green painful poop is a sure sign of her being allergic/intolerant to something. I know this for sure with her.
Anyway, I was wondering if soybean allergy in particular will cause mucus poops.
For the past two weeks-ish, in addition to dairy free, I have been wheat free, corn free, and I thought I was soybean free, but I wasn't.
Her symptoms vanished for a while until I drank some diet Mountain Dew. I looked at the ingredients-- brominated vegetable oil. Soybeans.
Sound like soybean allergy??
Re: Baby in pain. Help!
Have you contacted an allergist for testing? if no, you should today.
what does your pedi say?
it could be a soy allergy. I would go on a raw vegan diet for a week and see how she and you reacts.
