my critical thinking question for the day

in TTC After a Loss

if you could stop any major event in history from ever having happened, what would it be?  it has to be ONE SPECIFIC 24hr period.

(caveat: it may change the world around you completely.  but for logistics' sake, we'll say we all still exist after the event doesn't happen)

 

oh, and you wont get any credit for having stopped it

    Probably 9-11.  I just turned everyone's world upside down.  Not only were so many lives lost, but so many people who are still living are having to live life without their loved-ones.  Also if it weren't for that, so many people I know wouldn't have left for Iraq or Afghanistan.  Thankfully all of them came back, but it was nerve wrecking.
    TTC since June 2009 DX: PCOS October 2010
    6 medicated cycles, 2 pregnancies, 1 ectopic April 2011, Early Miscarriage August 2011
    7 more cycles, 1 IUI, No success after last pregnancy
    7/1/2012 No more fertility coverage
    8/17/2012 started pursuing domestic infant adoption!
    11/26/2012 HOME STUDY APPROVED!!!

    I was picking 9/11 as my first choice...and the Holocaust as my 2nd.
    I have short term memory loss. Do not take it personally if I do not remember you right away.
    No longer trying to conceive at all.

    Holocaust was my first thought- as it affected people worldwide, not just Americans, but it was an event that took place longer than 24 hours...  My first would also be 9/11... I cried for days after it.  I didn't even know anyone who had been immediately affected by it, but it was so heartwrenching and devastating to our nation.

    the day hitler gained power.  6 million innocent victims killed, along with millions of soldiers killed for what one man thought was the perfect solution
