We are from Pennsylvania and we are looking to take LO (and our inlaws, BIL, and SIL will be coming) to the beach for 4-5 days. We are hoping for a recommendation on a place to go and also a place to stay, if possible!
I appreciate any help, I'm totally clueless when it comes to vacation planning.
Thank you!
Re: Recommend a Jersey beach for vacation, please?!
We go every year with DH's family. Last year we rented a condo on the beach in the Crest and it was very affordable!
I grew up in PA, and every summer, my family would vacation in Stone Harbor. It's a really nice beach town for families. There is no boardwalk there, but we used to take the ride over to Ocean City a couple of nights to visit theirs.
We always rented a house, but there are hotels there as well, if you prefer that.

Long Beach Island is very family-friendly and the beaches are wonderful, but it can be pricey to rent a place. As far as things to do, there's a small amusement park with rides for kids (in Beach Haven), there's a water park, a lighthouse, and the Surflight Theater, which does plays for children during the summer, as well as for adults. Other than that, there's not much to do on the island except shop & go out to eat.
Point Pleasant is a bit more crowded (I think because there are more day-trippers), but there is a boardwalk with rides & games & food & bathrooms.
