DH and my 4th wedding anniversary is next week, and I want to make him a special dinner. He won't give me any clues as to what he might like. He eats just about anything. I like cooking, but I haven't been super motivated lately to try new things. We are going out on a special date next weekend, but I want to have a nice dinner on the night of our actual anniversary. Any good suggestions?

Check out melissa.1985's blog (melissa bakes? or something like that) on the BMB. I've made a few things from her blog, and they turned out awesomely!
What are some of his favorite restaurants? And what does he order at those? Those will give you an idea, and you could make something similar?
My DH is a garbage disposal too (will eat anything)...I'm sure he'll appreciate the meal (no matter what it is) since you made it esp for him and the special occasion.
And, if you top it off with a BJ, I'm sure he'll be one happy camper, even if the meal turned out "meh".

I have to agree, as men to tend to be pretty meat and potatoes people. Though, oddly enough, MH prefers fish cooked properly to meat any day. Go figure. I'd go with a NY Strip or Sirloin over a Filet Mignon as the Filet is actually one of the most flavorless cuts of beef you can get. A flat iron steak is also excellent and often cheaper than Sirloin or NY Strip. There are also some really interesting and flavorful cuts you can get, such as a 12 bone steak, but you'll likely need to go to a specialty butcher for those (at least, that's where I got mine).
That sounds like a brilliant idea!
