BF and thinking about TTC--any advice?

DD turns 9 months next week and DH and I are thinking about starting to TTC this summer. I WFT, so though I EBF so she is only really nursing once in the evenings and weekends. I do pump while at work.

I was on the mini pill for 3 months, but stopped taking it at the end of March. The last time I had AF was December '09 before I got my BFP. I have been trying to watch my CM and figure out my cycle to figure out when I O, but haven't been too successful. I can't get over the increase in CM overall in the last month.

I am planning to EBF until at least a year. Anyone else EBF and TTC have any advice?

    me! I didn't use any birth control after my son was born.  I didn't get AF till he was nearly ten months old, and then I got pregnant again the next month.  I continued to BF till about 11 months when my supply dropped, so I nursed but started supplementing with WCM. 

     Basically, once you get your period, you should be rock steady to go.  I got lucky and got pregnant the first month after -- I just guessed i was o'ing the same day of the cycle as I did the first time around, and I must have been right!

    Im gonna watch this thread because we want to TTC when DS is about 10 mo but I dont want to wean him too early for no reason.  I havent had AF yet but I am pretty sure I ovulated this month because it felt like it and I had some EWCM.  I also took the mini pill for 2 mo then quit because I hated it.  I still have time but Im curious as to what other peoples experiences were.

    I would try charting your temps because you can at least know if/when you're ovulating.  FTR I am pregnant and still breastfeeding.  But I got AF back after about 10 months of EBFing.
