So i was thinking about taking my LO to the pool, we got passes to go to Elich Gardens and they have a great kiddie area for kids, but when is the right age to take them in the pool? Ollie is 4 1/2 months, is that to soon?
4.5 months is fine! Just make sure to use sunBLOCK (not sunscreen). Keep LO out of the sun as much as possible - 15 mins or less is good. And be sure to give a bath afterwards to wash off the chlorine. We took DD yesterday and she loved it!
Oh man, I'm a bad mom. We took him in the pool and did NOT use block. We had a rash guard type shirt with longish sleeves (with UV protection), hat, and he was in a tube with an awning over it. He loved it - kicked his feet like an olympic swimmer (if I do say so myself

It certainly isn't too early for you to dunk him in chlorinated water, but different facilities have different guidelines. The one where I'm going to enroll Joaquin in baby & parent swim class requires that your kid be at least 6 months, use a disposable swim diaper AND vinyl cover. I'd imagine a water park would have more lax guidelines but it never hurts to ask, kwim?

I'll post what we used but it won't be clicky:

and the outfit has a built in diaper so we didn't use the swim diapers yet.
NOT using block is a good thing!
Ask the pool, or visit their website or whatever.
