I spoke to one of the Drs in my practice early on and they said they would do a trial of labor for me but since this would be a VBA2C they would be very cautious. Anyway, I went in today and the other Dr. in the practice said absolutly not. If she was on duty, she would not allow me to do the VBA2C. She actaully wanted me to schedule my c/s for 39 weeks because of my issues with excess fluid.
At this point, I could find a new practice but I don't know if I am going to have luck anywhere else. I am discouraged and I don't know if I should fight for this.
DH is against the VBA2C because he heard what the second doctor said and no matter what research I show him, he is worried that something is going to happen.
I think I might be ready to give up.
Re: Dr is refusing the VBAC
At this point, it wouldn't hurt to just do some research on other providers to see what they say. I'm sorry this doctor caused your husband to be fearful of attempting VBA2C. Many women have done this (heck, I think Michelle Duggar has, many times over).
But if you have your heart set on it, talk to some other doctors. If it doesn't work out, at least you know you looked around. Would he excess fluid cause complications in a VBAC?
I'm sorry you're dealing with all of this! It makes me so mad that practices aren't consistent - in that, if one doctor supports VBAC, they all should, IMO.
Anyhoo, have you tried talking to your local ICAN chapter? https://www.icanofnova.org/ It might seem late, but you sound like you'd like to at least attempt a TOL, and at the very least, you can see if there's anyone else in the area who does VBA2C. Good luck!

I'm sorry. Could you talk to the supportive doc again? He might be willing to come in for your delivery even if the other doc is on call, if you tell him how much VBAC means to you and that the other doc is not supportive.
I'd also look into other options. I'm worried you will regret it one day if you don't at least investigate your options before making a choice.

Get a second opinion! Talk to different doctors and MWs! Your situation sounds like this post: https://birthsen.tmdhosting930.com/?p=1561
Giving you one choice isn't a real choice. VBAC sounds like it's important to you, so it'd probably be worth it to at least get a second opinion (with your full history behind your c-section) from someone else. hth
