Hey everyone!
I just had to share my good news. DD is 5 and started with peanut, tree nut, dairy and eggs and now just has the egg (which is severe). I was terrified that DS would have the same, so at our last allergy appointment I brought him with and asked them to do a skin test. We talked about skin vs. blood and the whole false positive chance, etc. We went for it and he tested negative for egg, peanut, soy, wheat, and dairy. I could not be more thrilled! I know things can change, but since he is breastfed the doctor seemed pretty confident that these will continue to be negative. I'm sure something else can come up, but these are the big ones for me and I am so happy!
Hope that gives some faith to parents who are going to have more babies!
Re: Great news on the allergy front re:second child.
that's awesome and congrats. Gives me much hope!
they do say by 5 they tend to grow a lot and by 7 even more.. so hopefully 2 more years and no more eggs.
I can't wait!!!!!!! it's probably going to be weird to give her regular food. My DS outgrew sesame and we're still nervous and won't give him hummus. Hopefully soon
