eh didn't really change that much for me. I get very few bread products b/c of my celiac disease and gluten free diet so my plate has looked like that all along! LOL
I think that's how most people who eat decently eat...the only issue I take up with it as a pregnant woman is that there are NO carbs and little focus on dairy... and I think we need those right now!!

Carbs are still there. They are in the grains portion like breads and cereals and saltines or in the vegetable portion with starchy veggies like potatoes. Yay carbs! They certainly are helping me cope with the m/s.

This cracked me up-- I was so confused as to why you didn't see that there was a huge grain section! lol
I'm glad the moved out of the whole "fats, oils, & sweets." While I agree that it's not bad to have them every now & then, seeing them on the food pyramid gave my hubby leverage to use lots of oil in his cooking. He's finally slowed down, but now I've got the food pyramid behind me! There's so much of the bad stuff already in our food, we don't need to focus on "getting enough oils" IMO.
