Oh wow. Was s/he demonstrating jealousy? Maybe some of the kids feel like you pay less attention to them now?? (not saying that you do)
How did you handle that?
When I was pregnant, one of my students wrote a story about losing my baby (a m/c). I was mortified. I asked him about it and he said he was trying to be funny. WTF?
Not good. Is she jealous for some reason or just not happy about something you were having her do? My BFF was a special ed teacher while she was pg with her 2nd, and a lovely 5th grader kicked her in the kidneys. Thankfully she and baby were OK. Still, I bow down to you guys.
I teach special ed and when I was pregnant last year one student in my class, said,"Your baby is dead". My baby was not dead and was very healthy when born. I think they feel jealous and left out because all the attention is on the baby.

When I was pregnant with DD, a student threatened to stab me. That was pretty scary. Sometimes kids can be so unpredictable.
