We both LOVE when she sucks on her hands, because that means she's not screaming! It did, however, drive me crazy last weekend when our niece and nephew were visiting (3 years and 18 months), and they were sticking their hands in her mouth, and of course she was sucking away! Ugh, those hands were so sticky and dirty--her immune system definitely got a workout last weekend.
We love that Liam sucks on his hands......The only thing I don't like is when he sticks them in too far and gags himself.....other then that it keeps him content
My husband just mentioned this over the weekend. Abbie is constantly putting her hands in her mouth and he kept taking them away. He finally said he didn't want her to start sucking her thumb b/c it would be hard to break (as if he'd really be doing any of the "breaking" lol). Anyway, I don't care if she sucks her thumb or chews her hands. Ironically the other night after he got up off the couch to go put her paci back in for the fourth time b/c I was eating dinner I said, "if she sucked her thumb you wouldn't have to do that." He just gave me a dirty look but I thought it was funny!

whenever DH asks for a paci I tell NO he doesnt need it. And then he gets up and gets it himself... His hands are right there, just let him go to town. And you can't lose his hands and have to always buy a new paci.
