any good school like daycares near the carle place area?

hello ladies,

i have 11 mos old twins and have had a live-in since i went back to work when they were 4 mos old.  she is amazing with them, but i am considering of no longer having the live-in after this summer when i go back to work again (i work in a hs), they will be 16 mos at the time.  i am looking for a daycare that is more like a school, not just a woman watching a bunch of kids in her house.

i live in carle place and am open to any of the surrounding towns.

any ideas?

thanks,

audra

  • I used to go to Stars and Angels which was in a woman's home in Garden City.  There were pros and cons to the environment, but my kids did love it.  I don't know if it was as school like as you would like, but they did do circle time and there was always arts and crafts going on.  I kept my first two there until the oldest was 4.  Now I have a private sitter that can help drive and watches my newborn.  We found her on sittercity.com.  Good luck - good childcare is really important for us working moms.Smile

  • Hi! I live in CP too! I have a 9 month old!

The daycare at SUNY Old Westbury is FANTASTIC! They are clean, and all teachers are certified and have master's degrees in some sort of early childhood development programs. They are reasonably priced as well.
