Does anyone know if they have good selection of swimming suits in store? I out grew all mine so I'm caving and getting a maternity one and Motherhood seems to be the only place that you can get a suit for under 40.
They had a decent selection at my local destination maternity (motherhood and pea in the pod stuff, but I think all the suits were motherhood). I think my suit may have been right at the $40 mark, but even the maternity suits at target were that much.
I got mine at Motherhood. I love it. Very good quality and was cheaper than most everywhere else I looked. Target, Old Navy and most department store wanted $50 for both pieces. Old Navy does have some nice ones and you can get good deals with their sales, however my sister has one and it is a little shear in certain areas when it gets wet. Its also not as flattering as the on she got from Target or the one I got from Motherhood.
I have two... one from Motherhood and one from Target. The one from motherhood is a little skimpier and is really cute, but ultimately it isn't that practical for real swimming (i felt alot of the ones at motherhood were like that). My one from Target is a racer back and really practical and durable. I actually found more suits at Target that worked for me.... but I am not a fan of skimpy bathing suits.
I got mine from Old Navy, I got the tankini and bikini bottom seperates (both maternity) for less then $20 each. I wore it over the weekend to my brother's pool and was really happy with the fit & quality. FWIW, I didn't see anything at Motherhood that I liked (in that price range) personally.
I just bought 2 regular bikinis at target, XL bottoms and L tops. They were $30 each. (I don't like anything touching my belly/belly button, especially tight things like full panels or tankini tops, so bikinis were a good option for me.)
Re: question about motherhood
Ditto this. It varies by the Target though. The one close to me has crap for selection but the next store over had a lot more.
Have you tried Target or Old Navy? Theirs aren't too expensive.
I got this one:

Even though it still is a little "mom"-ish, I thought it was cuter on than on the rack, plus it is comfy.
