I'm pretty sure this is as close to torture as it gets! I am so beyond bored sitting here in the waiting room and I still have 2 hours to go. Top that off with my bad veins and what should have been 2 pokes has already been 5. I'm being whiney today, but I'm hungry!

GL! I also have terrible veins. At one point they told me they didn't know if they could continue b/c they couldn't find any so they had to take out of my hand and bottom part of my arm! OUCH! I hope u have better luck! I thought I was going to pass out by time I got to eat! Hopefully you have something yummy planned for lunch!

Can they draw from your hand? Tell them to use a butterfly and do it that way! Everyone says it hurts more but with a small needle it really doesn't.

Good luck! And get something chock full of protein to eat when you're done to help manage the sugar crash!

You poor thing! I hope its over by now and you are enjoying something yummy for lunch! I hated the 3 hr test, but I made DH come with me so I had somwone to talk to ! I plan on doing the same thing this time (if need be). It will all be worth it when that precious boy is in your hands!

So glad that is over! I had to east a protein bar at the office when I was done before I even attempted a walk to the car. Thankfully the last 2 blood draws went smoothly and they found the vein on the first try. Hopefully I will get good news on Monday saying that I passed.

I can't believe I am 17 weeks today! I have to make it past Tuesday and then I can take a little bit of a breath! Tuesday will be the day that my water broke last pregnancy. Even though I didn't deliver until 4 days later, Tuesday marks the day that it all kind of happened. It's going to be a long few days until we get past that mark.

Thoughts will be with you that the next few days fly by. I can't imagine the anxiety you feel. I hope each day that passes safely is a bit of reassurance to you. I will continue to pray for a healthy and uneventful pregnancy for you.

And if you did happen to fail the 3-hour don't let that bring you down. I was very disappointed in myself and had a hard time dealing with the feelings of guilt and failure about it but in the end the GD was manageable and it probably kept me from putting on way too much weight since I wasn't able to indulge every whim and excuse it as being a pregnancy craving. At the end of the day it made me take better care of myself than I would have otherwise. (It was still a PITA though so feel free to b!tch if you did fail it.)
