Day one of baby wise!
All in her crib:
Nap #1- I laid her down and left the room, she cried for 2 minutes(I timed it), but I picked her up, gave her paci, laid her back down and she went to sleep.
Nap #2- she went to sleep without any problems
Nap #3- she cried, I gave her paci, she spit it out, cried, I picked her up, cuddled her, gave her paci, laid her down, she went to sleep.
Bedtime(9:00- one hour after her bottle)- I laid her down, she cried, gave her paci and left room, she spit it out and cried. I put paci back in and rubbed her head while 'shhhhhshing', left the room- and she's asleep!!!
I don't agree with everything in the book: letting babies cry for anywhere from 5-25 minutes?? Having the same wake up time everyday even if baby is still sleeping(this one probably makes sense, but I am selfish and want sleep right now) but the rest I think is pretty good!!
After having LO attatched to my arms last week, I am glad to have some routine. Anyone else try it?
Re: Day 1 of BabyWise!
I haven't tried it.
I'm with you on the waking at the same time in the morning. If my 2 year old sleeps past 6, I do not and will not wake her up!!! I think I'd give her until about 9 before I wanted to wake her up. We just adjust the day if she sleeps later in the morning. It happens once a month maybe!
This baby sleeps pretty well, but I'm curious to know how it goes for you!!! I was desperate for help with my first, and may need it this time.
Thank you!!!
I wish I wouldn't be so lazy and that I would put pig tails in her hair everyday! Something about those tiny little pig tails melts my heart!
I'm curious to see if this works for you since our babies are close in age. If it does, I will be trying it!!!!
Although, in the morning I am not waking him up until he is ready for now! I need my sleep too
However, when I go back to work that would make sense .
DD due April 2, 2014
Also I just saw your name as the second person on the "connect with these online bumpies" thing on the side. I remember you posting about it the other day too.
