I feel so bad for DS when he is grunting and pushing up his legs. I know he is still young so I'm hoping in a few weeks his digestive system matures enough to reduce or eliminate the daily gassiness.
DS still cries when he needs to poop and it isn't coming out easily for him. Gas in general let up around 4.5 weeks, or at least he was able to dispose of it himself, now he farts and seems to have some relief.
My DS still has gas problems however it doesn't seem to bother him as much as it did in the beginning. He isn't as fussy when he is pushing or after. It seems like he is going to have bad gas forever
hang in there ladies- the gassiness is rough. My dd had it pretty bad from 8 weeks until week 16 or so. i would highly suggest at least trying gripe water.
also tummy time, tummy rubs, hot water bottle placed under a thin blanket and putting dc on it, bicycle legs, jiggling over shoulder, butt patting. each kid responds differently to gas. gripe water was a lifesaver for us. the fennel seed and ginger in it act as natural digestive aids. once babies' digestive systems mature a little more it won't be a problem-
however, once one problem ends another begins- once you conquer the gassiness- teething starts. It never ends. so take a deep breath and try your best to see what your baby responds best too!

hers seemed to get better around 6 weeks but we've had a few bouts the last couple of days. We give her the little tummy drops - works wonders!
