what size clothing does your 12 month old wear?

Hi All-

Just curious what sizes your 12 month old wears? Macy's is havign a huge sale already on summer clothing and I am trying to figure out what size to buy.

Depends on the brand. Mostly 12 month. Some 12-18 month and in a few brands 18 month. He can actually fit in some shorts that are 9 month still. Are you trying to buy for this summer? If so, I would get current size and maybe size up. Buying for next summer is risky. I have some friends with 12 months old in size 24 months already.

My almost 10 month old is wearing 3t already. If your buying for this summer, I would get a size or two up from what your LO is in now but I agree that buying for next summer is a little harder.

My 11 month old wears 18m or 24m depending on the brand.

I wouldn't buy for next summer.. there is no way to know how big they'll be.

Mine is almost 11 months and he's mostly in 9 month, but he has a couple 6 month he can still fit into.

thanks everyone. I was actually looking for next summer...I know its risky so I don't knwo if I will. I really wanted to take advantage of the cute clothes and the great prices! DS is 2 months old today and weighs about 13lbs...his 2 month appt is next Tuesday. He is still wearing some 0-3 but fits in most of his 3-6 stuff.

She usually wears 18 months but I can fit her in alot of 12 month clothes as well they just fit a bit snug. She weighs 23lbs.

He is wearing 18 months in Carter's and Koala Kids, and 18-24 months in Gap. Size 90 in Hanna Andersson.

Mostly 12 month and a few 18 month things.

He has a few light sweaters that are 9 months that he can still fit into on cool mornings, but for the most part we are in the 12-18 month range.

DD is 10 months and very comfortably in 18-month clothing. She still fits a few 12 months but they're a little tight.

At 2 months she was 14 pounds and solidly in 6-month clothing.

My DS is almost 11 months and is 29.5 inches and 19 pounds and wears some 9 months and some 12 months depending on the brand. Some brands of shorts, he can wear 6 months (as he is so skinny and the lenght of shorts unlike pants or onesie's does not matter as much).

I think it really depends on the baby. Some kids wear their age, some way under, some way over. I would not waste my money on trying to buy for next year and you will likely be wrong. JMO
